Wonky Dogs Portraits
The reknowned foodie favourite, The Wheatsheaf Inn in Greetham in Rutland, has become somewhat of a Sarah Watson / Wonky Dogs home from home for her artwork over the last 5 years! Starting with a portrait of their dog, the owners Carol and Scott Craddock went on to commission Sarah to design their new logo, three Wonky Dogs style 'butchers cuts' and individual portraits of their favourite resident ducks for the restaurant's walls. www.wheatsheaf-greetham.co.uk
Sarah was thrilled to be commissioned by Rutland Arts Council to paint a huge fiberglass hippo as part of the Rutland Hippo Trail. 'Henrietta', as she came to be known, was sponsored by Anglia Water and spent a long happy Summer on the shores of Rutland Water. She was then auctioned to raise money for the Army Benevolent Fund.
In 2013, Sarah was commissioned by Jimmy's Farm in Suffolk, famous for its reality TV series, to paint the animals there exclusively for its greetings cards and merchandise. She spent a wonderful two days there working 'en plein air', drawing the various beast, birds and butterflies in ink pen, then washing in with watercolours.
